After graduating from Parsons with a BFA in product design (metal), Mieko Takahashi went on to create jewelry for national retailers such as Steven Alan and one-of-a-kind jewelry for individual clients. Mieko’s work ethic and attention to detail led her to branch out and discover her love for food styling while she worked as a pastry chef at Chikalicious dessert bar. As someone who prides herself on taking multiple, everyday objects and creating a beautiful masterpiece, Mieko’s ability to see the big picture with the smallest components has garnered her an impressive list of clients.
When she’s not making the world a more aesthetically appealing place, Mieko can be found at home in Brooklyn baking and cooking dishes from all over the world, exercising her green thumb, or wandering around Prospect Park and parts of the world looking for inspiration.
